Due to our planned growth, we are seeking additional support in the Lawn Care Technician role.
Managing Lawn Care Technician Overview
At Heartland Turf, our Managing Technicians are key to supervising and leading our team of technicians to excel in the applications and communication to clients. The Managing technician leads through example but must also implement the processes and procedures to maintain quality controls. The manager is also supporting sales leads when technical expertise is required.
Core Responsibilities
- Application of Fertilizer, Herbicides and Pesticides (Ride-on and Walk Behind)
- Managing service calls
- Aerating and Over-seeding (Ride-on)
- Ongoing supervision and training of technicians.
- Owning quality control for products and performance of technicians
- Oversee and implement proper safety measures
- Manage equipment fleet and oversee site needs
- Communicate with scheduler to ensure thorough and prompt completion of services
- Educate and Inform clients of program detail and expectations.
- Own product ordering and delivery.

Lawn Care Technician Overview
At Heartland Turf, our technicians are the face of the company and are integral to building our brand. The technician role is a key customer facing role that is directly responsible for excelling in the applications to achieve the results Heartland Turf is proud of. In addition, the technician is responsible for providing great customer service through strong communication, promptness, and educating clients on services being completed.
Core Responsibilities
- Application of Fertilizer, Herbicides and Pesticides (Ride-on and Walk Behind)
- Spot treatment of weeds (Backpack sprayer and Tank Wand)
- Aerating and Over-seeding (Ride-on)
- Aerating (Walk Behind)
- With training support, identify weed and insect issues along with executing on effective remediation plans.
- Support and facilitate customer questions and requests when approached on site
- Communicate with Scheduler to ensure thorough and prompt completion of services
- Miscellaneous activities to support business and operation needs.
